Posted December 5, 2011. Hello. I have a Ford Mondeo (2008) and the stereo is not working properly. It is the 6000CD model. The display keeps saying 'PHONE' and there no other buttons work when its like that except the volume (not even the on/off button). However, every now and again the radio/CD will start working again, whether its for a few
My Ford Escape, year 2010, original audio sistem, have a problem with radio screen. When I switch ON the car, after 30-40 seconds the screen turning off. The radio still work, I can change the program but I can not see anything on screen. I tried to disconnect the battery, works fine for two days and then the same problem.
If your screen froze with the display on, hold the buttons down until the screen goes black. If the screen is black when the system froze, hold the button down until you see the Ford logo appear on the screen. Wait 3 minutes or so for the system to complete the reset. Press the power button to turn the audio back on.
This video shows how we diagnosed and fixed a radio that stopped working on a 2014 F150.
Restart the Car: Restarting the car might help fix the issue. Turn off the car engine and remove the key. Wait for a few minutes, then start the car and check the radio display. Check the Fuse Box: Check your car’s fuse box and locate the fuse responsible for the radio. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one.
2014, Explorer. August 4, 2020. #1. I got my 14 ford explorer's battery replaced at the dealer. When I picked up the car I found out the radio screen black not working! Although the radio working fine. I went back to the dealer. They said battery installation han nothing to do with this problem! Please I need your inputs about this problem.
You remove them and you remove the cover of the radio. Then you see all the components. If you check VERY WELL (hard to see, better with a magnifying glass), there is four resistances side to side and the metal is crack. just re do the solder and all will be ok. For mines, both trucks had 2 cracks in the solders.
Avoid cleaners with acetone as a primary ingredient, as it can erode many of the protective coatings on your camera lens. First, use a soft bristled brush or a microfiber cloth to wipe away any dust, grime, or other debris. Then, spray with your cleaner of choice, and wipe away with your microfiber cloth using gentle circular motions.
Solution is to run car until interior cools. Stop car for a few minutes. Then start again. It's only the sound system that goes. The bluetooth still connects with phone, but won't work with hands free. I push the radio power , it looks like it's :loading", then turns off again. Maybe it's some wiring lead issue.
I have a weird issue with my 2013 Ford C-Max. I park the car and turn off the car. When I open the door, the radio does not go off and none of the audio controls work. When I turn the car back on, none of the audio controls work and the hands-free voice activation doesn’t work. It’s happened 4 times. Each time I take it to the dealer.
I had the same problem. jumped the battery and then the radio didn't work, just said "ford fusion" on the display. you need to locate the fuse box down by the brake pedal to the left, very difficult to get at. once you find it remove the plastic cover and then remove the radio fuse (look in your owners manual for the fuse number and location
Year, Model & Trim Level. 2018, Explorer Sport. March 8, 2018. #1. I am going to be calling the dealership in the morning and I have not checked fuses yet. But the whole entertainment center is a black screen. I can not control audio through the steering wheel. I can control climate control through the physical buttons.

The manual states that the radio etc. can be used for 1 hour without switching on the ignition. It will in fact run for about 3 mins max. and then shut down with a message saying 'switch off ignition
I replaced the radio with a used one from eBay, which solved the issue for the past 3 years of daily driving. That being said, it just happened again yesterday evening. When this occurs, a 'pop' is heard, followed by no sound. All displays, buttons, voice commands, etc appear to be working, but no sound.
I assume radio doesn't work on restart. So, it's likely the radio / associated modules are draining the 12 V battery in the next two days so then the car won't start. 2) Next time you drive. Leave radio on. Stay in car and turn car off via pushbutton / key. Time how long the radio stays on before the message comes up on the display saying
